Man arrested, charged with video voyeurism because he had secretly welcomed colleagues in the workplace – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sport

Sweetwater, Fla. (WSVN) – A man was arrested and is charged with video voyeurism after allegedly installing a hidden camera to secretly record his colleagues with a workplace bathroom.

According to the police, the 38-year-old Bernardo Pellicer-Dorta, an employee in a cosmetics business in Dolphin Mall, was arrested on Sunday evening after a sales employee reported reported that a monkey looks like a pen while using the toilet.

The sales employee informed the shop manager, who then called the police.

After the police arrived, Dorta interviewed, to which he told the police, he suspected that his colleagues clapped about him and he was about to be fired so that he planted the recording device in the left pocket of his blazer so that he could repeat their conversations at a later date. He continued that he had to use the toilet, so he took off his blazer and suspected that it must have fallen out during this time, and added that he had no intention to capture someone else's privacy.

Torta allowed the officials to watch the videos on the pen.

In the video, Dorta strategically searched for places to hide the device before he put it in the lower corner of a cleaning supply car with the lens towards the toilet area and, according to the arrest report. The video cuts the victim who enters the bathroom to experience yourself again and find the camera.

After the police confronted him because of his contradictory statements, he confessed.

Torta was brought to the HCA Kendall Hospital for evaluation after his heart rate was reported.

He was then brought to Turner Guilford Knight and has published Bond since then.
