Redmi Watch Move Review: familiar form, more intelligent function

Redmi had a presence in the smartwatch area over the years in the smartwatch area. We previously checked both the Redmi Watch Active and the Redmi Watch 5 Lite. While Redmi products often bring on the market in the categories in smartphones and TWS, the Smartwatch publications are tended to be more sporadic. Now the brand with the Redmi Watch Move returns to the budget -Smartwatch segment. At a price of 1,999 rupees, a crowded market with competitors such as boat and CMF occurs. How is it stacked against the competition? What are his strengths and defects? Let us find out in this evaluation.

Price and availability

Redmi Watch Move can be available from Amazon at a price of 1,999 rupees.

Design & display

The Redmi Watch Move wears a conventional square dial with which it sits comfortably on the wrist. The design may be simple, but it is effective – and what is more important, it feels familiar and practical. The build is primarily plastic, but does not feel cheap at all. In fact, the quality is quite impressive for the price. We had the black color variant, which tends to the subtle side (as we like), but it is also available in expressive options such as gold, silver and blue.
The straps are soft, breathable and skin -friendly. We carried the watch through long, sweaty fitness studies and never had itching or discomfort – something that is often overlooked at this price level.

An IP68 assessment ensures a decent durability. The clock was kept well with intensive training and even with light rain. However, we would not recommend taking it to swim – that could exceed its limits.

There is also a functional crown on the side. While its use is somewhat limited, it offers Scroll functions across menus, which is a convenient note. The watch movement no longer has an AMOLED screen – at this price. It is fairly reaction, although we noticed a minor touch delay with sweaty fingers (especially during training). A little problem, but it is worthwhile to point out because many of us interact with our smartwatches between the sets in the gym. With a peak brightness of 600 nits, visibility outdoors is solid. Regardless of whether you have a run or just check the time under the sun, the screen remains readable. One of our favorite functions is the Palm-to-Sleep gesture: Simply place your palm over the screen and the display switches off. Simple, intuitive and effective.

Overall, the design and display of the Redmi Watch Move dance are stamped well above its weight, especially in view of the price tag of 1,999 RS.

Apps and connectivity

The Redmi Watch Move offers a number of functions, including heart rate and SPO₂ monitoring, sleeping, stress tracking, guided breathing and support for over 140 sports modes. It also contains Bluetooth language calls – a useful addition to multitasking. The speaker (on the left spine) and the microphone (next to the crown) are well suited for quick calls, although audio clarity is best in quieter settings.

It fits the Mi fitness app that works on Android and iOS – even without hyperos. The app takes care of health metrics, notifications and adjustments. You will get access to over 200 watch faces, including India, with the option to save five on the clock for quick switching. While the notifications are limited, the interaction is limited – especially to iPhones.

The use of the Mi Fitness app on an iPhone 16 Pro was seamless, the mating and synchronization. The dashboard is clean and expandable cards that show steps, calories and workouts. There is also a funny touch in which your burned calories are compared with general food.

Xiaomi has added a AI zone that can answer questions and create with Ki watch faces. It is a promising function, but definitely needs more work from the perspective of refinement.

Performance & UI

The Redmi Watch Move does daily tasks smoothly-it is navigation menus, start of apps or tracking workouts. It runs on hyperos, the user -defined software from Xiaomi that feels intuitive and familiar for everyone who is used in this segment.

If you switch to the left or right on the start screen, you have quick access to important functions such as health tracking, music, weather and workouts – everyone can be adjusted. Wipe down to see notifications and wipe for quick settings.

The crown is multifunctional:

  • Single Press opens the app drawer or returns home
  • Turn to scroll gently
  • Long Press activates the AI assistant, who pulls information about your connected phone

Overall, the performance is snappy and the user interface for a budget smartwatch is well optimized.

The Redmi Watch Move offers fairly reliable health tracking. In the daily step and in the calorie tracking, it showed an error rate of around 15 to 20 steps, which is appropriate for a budget smartwatch. I compared the results with my Apple Watch Series 10, and while the Apple Watch was more precise, the Redmi Watch -Move thought well for the casual fitness monitoring.

Sleeping is another strong area-not only is the total duration of the duration of sleep, but also divides it into deep and light sleep levels, shows an average heart rate and counts. The Mi Fitness app evaluates this data arm To ExcellentAdd a useful layer of interpretation. It also offers Rem Sleep and Breath Score tracking, even though you have to activate them manually.

I mainly used freestyle for weight lifting and the extensive cardio from the more than 140 sports modes and went for my evening walks. The watch blocks after the start of the training mode and shows important metrics such as heart rate, burned calories and duration. You can also control the music playback from the watch during training.

The hiking mode is based on the GPS of your phone for the persecution and route of your phone. During my use, the GPS connection was inconsistent – even in open areas without major obstacles.

As soon as you have ended a session, you will receive a clear summary of the heart rate, duration, intensity and distance. The MI Fitness app compares this data with previous workouts. Just like most wearables in this area, it is important to note that the data for general instructions and not for medical accuracy are intended.

The Redmi Watch Move claims a 14-day battery life with typical use, which falls for 10 days with heavier use, including voice calls and constant display. With my use – mostly typical, but with rather long training sessions, which on average 2 hours a day – the clock lasted 9 days before it needed a charging.

The charging is conveniently with the supplied proprietary magnetic cable, which is safe on the back of the watch and requires a USB Type A connection. A fast 10-minute fee delivers regularly for up to two days, while a complete load only takes 70 minutes, which is impressed for a smartwatch that offers a battery life for so long.

Verdict

The Redmi Watch Move is a strong contender on the budget -Smartwatch area, which offers high value, reliable quality and solid brand support, especially with the extensive service network from Xiaomi. Compared to other OEM options, it is characterized by general reliability.

The CMF Watch 2 Pro is the only real competition and offers similar specifications, but with a circular design. Ultimately, the decision depends on design preferences.

If you are looking for an affordable but reliable smartwatch that delivers both for performance and for brand reliability, the Redmi Watch Move is a top election.
