Rangers identify Colorado motorcyclists who were killed in the crash near the entrance to Canyonland

Moab – A man from Colorado who died last week in a motorcycle accident near an entrance to the Canyonlands National Park.

Park Rangers identified the motorcyclist as Bruce Griffith (71) from Copper Mountain, Colorado.

According to the office of the sheriff San Juan County, the emergency crew reacted shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday to a report on a crash of a single vehicle along County Road 143 near the entrance to the island of the park in Sky. Park Rangers, together with the deputies of the sheriff, the Utah Highway Patrol Trooper and paramedic from neighboring areas, everyone came to provide help, but Griffith died at the crime scene of the crash.

It is unclear what caused the crash, still examine the park of Rangers and MPs.

The Sheriff office in San Juan County also examines a separate fatal crash, which took place in County Road 313 near the Lisbon Valley mine about an hour later. The MPs say that a driver whose name and age were not immediately published died at the crime scene on the second crash.
