The EU is “evil than China” – politico

Trump's comments are a significant departure from his warm words about the President of the European Commission last week, in which he praised Ursula von der Leyen as “fantastic”, and added that he hoped that the two would soon meet.

Although Trump has already met with a large number of European leaders, the Leyen does not yet have to stab her own meeting. Last week she said she would only hit the US President if there was a “concrete” trading package that can be negotiated.

Last week, Brussels dangled a list of potential concessions – including regulatory relaxation and joint efforts to contain Chinese overproduction – and threatened tariffs for US goods worth € 95 billion if the discussions are. Trump's Trade Hawk Peter Navarro condemned the passed counter -offensive as provocative.

Trump's heated new comments come when Washington and Beijing agreed to collect so-called mutual mutual tariffs, after talks between US finance minister Scott Bessent, the US trade representative Jamieson Greer and Chinese officials in Switzerland.

The United States will reduce Trump's latest tariffs for Chinese imports from 145 percent to 30 percent, while the Chinese team will decrease from 125 percent to 10 percent. The suspension is temporary temporarily and lasts 90 days and enables time for further negotiations.

Trump's “Liberation Day” tariffs in countries all over the world and the EU triggered shock waves on the financial markets and threatened to completely improve global trade.
