57. And veterans -fatal crash victims identified

Sioux Falls, SD (Now Dakota News) – Two inhabitants of Iowa who suffered fatal injuries on Friday in an accident in Southeast -Sioux.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of the 57th Street and the South Veterans Parkway.

According to Sam Clemens Sam Clemens, Sioux's public information officer, 77-year-old Charles Dean Metzger drove a Ford Taurus South 2015 with the 78-year-old Linda Lee Metzger in front.

The Taurus initiated a street -excreted street in front of an oncoming GMC Sierra from 2018, which led to a collision.

Linda Metzger was declared dead at the crime scene.

Charles Metzger was taken to a regional hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Both butchers came from Lester, Iowa.

The 35-year-old driver of the GMC Sierra was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. On Monday, no update was administered to his condition at the Sioux Falls Police Briefing.

Clemens said it was too early to say whether speed, alcohol or drugs are a factor for the crash, but traffic cameras will help.

Clemens confirmed that the GMC Sierra had a green light and that the Ford Taurus had a flashing yellow arrow at the time of the crash.
