Two teenagers seriously injured when crashing on the rural northeast of Nebraska Road

Lincoln, alongside (Klkn) – Two teenagers were critically injured on Sunday afternoon during a crash on a rural road in the Stanton County.

The Sheriff's office said that the MPs were drawn to the crash east of Norfolk around 4:30 p.m. via an automatic mobile phone accident report.

An SUV left the street to the east and went into the air, according to Sheriff's Office, a power post and rolled into a tree grove.

The passenger, a 15-year-old girl, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected out of the vehicle. She was flown to a hospital in Omaha.

The driver, a 16-year-old girl, was wearing a seat belt, said the sheriff's office. She was taken to a hospital in Norfolk.

Both girls suffered critical injuries.

The investigators believe that “inexperience and speed” were factors in the crash.
