Live updates: Trump Signs plan, reduce drug prices

Democratic Sens. Cory Booker, Chris Coons, Chris Murphy and Brian Schatz emitted a joint explanation in which the Trump would go into “a clear conflict of interest” if he accepted a luxury aircraft of $ 400 million from Qatar.

Several news agencies reported on Sunday that Trump should be given out of the plane, which was used as Air Force One during his tenure and then transferred to a foundation.

The senators asked their colleagues to again determine that legislators cannot take gifts from foreign governments without the consent of the congress.

“Air Force One is more than just an airplane – it is a symbol of the presidency and the United States itself,” wrote the legislators.

“Every president who accepts this type of gift with a value of 400 million US dollars from a foreign government creates a clear conflict of interest, raises serious national security issues, invites foreign influence and undermines the public's trust in our government.”

Correction: A previous version of this entry said that the aircraft of a foundation would be donated for personal use, but Trump has denied this since then.
