The father who was assumed that on the day of the High School final day of the son killed the whole family in the obvious murder self-murder

Dawson County, Neb. (KSNB/Gray News) – A father in Nebraska is said to have killed himself together with his wife and children on the same day of his son's high school.

On May 10, the Dawson County's office went to a house at around 9:45 a.m.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, it is assumed that Jeremy Koch, 42, had killed each of his sons Hudson (18) and Asher (16) and his wife Bailey (41) before he killed.

All four were found with fatal knife wounds.

A knife was found at the crime scene.

At the Cozad closing ceremony 2025, superintendent Dan Endorf commented on the tragedy and the effects on the final class.

“As you know, our community and our senior class have experienced a tragedy in the past few hours,” said Endorf. “The bitter sweet emotions, which the senior class on their final day and in this entire high school cannot be hidden at that moment, cannot be covered at this moment and are a symbol for the life of the adult that begins by our graduates.

The NSP is the main agency in the murder examination. Dawson County's lawyer has ordered autopsies from all four residents.

The investigation remains.
