Rate the giveaway at Bike to Work Day Stops in Northern Virginia

The annual day of bicycle to work is scheduled for Thursday, May 15th, and there will be several pop-ups in the pit stop in North Virginia that offer refreshments, entertainment and giveaways.

Bike to Work Day is a free annual event that is supposed to encourage more people to commute by bike. It is a common effort between the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and commuter connections.

Participation is simple. Everyone can register for free, jump on their bike and go to the office on two wheels on May 15th. This year, more than 100 pit stops will take place in DC, Maryland and Virginia, where drivers can pick up a free T-shirt for the working day (the first 18,000 who can register and participate). Many pit stops also offer live music, food gifts and other giveaways.

For example, the Boro in Tysons will drink a living DJ, coffee from twenty coffee, delicacies from Fabletics and Peloton and Free Jeni ice cream for registered participants from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Alexandrias Rathaus -Boxen stop will give free coffee, snacks and music from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the National Landing's Water Park from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Visit the website of the bike to work to see the full list of pit stops in Nova. Each station has T-shirts for registered participants. Other giveaways and offers vary depending on the location.

Bicycle convoys will also run throughout the region so that the drivers can move with a group. There are several routes that travel through North Virginia and DC, whereby a card is available here.
