Eric Dixon, F, Villanova

Summary: Dixon is a stormy striker who brings toughness and physicality to the game. As a leading goal scorer from Villanova, he showed diverse bullets, but in the NBA, his lack of sportiness will limit the type of use that he can maintain.

Strengthen

Shoot: Dixon always had touch in the entire college, and it finally translated over the bow as a super senior and made 40.7% of his 7.2 attempts per game. For NBA purposes, he will play a lot of off-ball and made 43.2% of the fishing and shooting 3S per synergy.

Drive game: Attacks with patience and a good grip. He uses his massive frame to plow opponents and draw contact in the color. Or he can turn around and publish. Add his experienced screening ability and he could be a weapon in ball screens.

Offensive versatility: Villanova used Dixon all over the ground. He would use a game with off-ball screens on the next screens posted upwards by a primary creator. Although he will not be such a high -use player in the NBA, he could connect different roles for his team.

Issue

Defense versatility: He is not too quickly in the area, and he lacks no explosiveness to protect the rim and plunge the boards. He has to dramatically improve his lateral ability so that he can be a switch defender, but he is targeted at the beginning of his career.

Sportiness: Although Dixon was 6-foot 8, he reported only five Dunk attempts with Villanova last season. He only made three. It is one below the edge that relies on the strength to plow defenders, which is not a guarantee of translating against NBA athletes.

Play: In all five years in Villanova, he had a negative relationship between assist-to-turno. It is not too aware of the double teams, so the NBA speed could be a problem.
