Enfield, NC (WTVD) – The mayor of Enfield recovers serious injuries after he was involved in a car accident on Saturday evening.

In a statement, the city said that Mayor Mondal Robinson tried to avoid a flock of deer and to have lost control of his car.

He met a power line and a tree.

No other cars were involved in the accident.

The mayor suffered several serious injuries, the explanation, including a deep cut on the head and several fractures.

Robinson was operated on Monday morning. According to the Enfield Police Department, the mayor was “in a good mood and is looking forward to working again for the citizens of Enfield”.
