Gorp, State Outdoor Recreation Office offers video series

The University of Arkansas Greenhouse outdoor recreation program (Gorp) and the state's outdoor recreation have published a free digital video series with which, according to a press release, entrepreneurs can build their business at the early stages.

Start Smart: A curriculum for Business Building offers natural modules that are taught by managers from all over the state.

“This program is very special of the diversity of the topics treated and a curriculum that is intended to help founders develop the knowledge that is essential for building a sustainable company,” said Elizabeth Quinn, senior program manager at Gorp.

The courses offered include Lean Canvas, customer discovery, Business Financials 110 and the law of intellectual property. The course teachers include Phil Shellhammer, managing director of the UA office for entrepreneurship and innovation, and Katherine Andrews, director of the state office for relaxation of the state.

The program is supported by a scholarship between the economic development management and the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. The modules are available online With this link.

“The project illustrates the cooperation of the entrepreneurship in this state and the system of support,” said Quinn. “Many of these modules were taught by experts who voluntarily reported their time to support startup founders.”
