NBA-Playoffs 2025: New York Knicks Search to win the Pivotal Game 4 against the Boston Celtics.

New York – The New York Knicks will try to achieve a 3-1 series against the Boston Celtics on Monday evening after dropping the 3-year game with a whopping 22-point deficit.

The 3-point touch of the Celtics returned to game 3, so the Knicks didn't.

Jayson Tatum had 22 points, nine rebounds and seven templates, Payton Pritchard scored 23 points and Boston won 115-93 New York on Saturday with 115-93.

The Celtics went 20 from the 3-point area after they had won only 25 for 100 in their two losses in Boston when they inflate 20 points in the second half of the two games. The defending NBA champions went 31 in this and there was never anything that resembled a comeback for the Knicks.

“You have to hit us four times. It depends on that. Not twice, not even three,” said Celtic's striker Jaylen Brown. “You have to win four games, so there is a lot of basketball to play.”

Tatum, an all-star who scored only 12 for 42 in Boston, and Pritchhard, the NBA sixth man of the year, both made five 3S.

Brown scored 19 points and Derrick White had 17 for the Celtics who will try to tie the series in game 4 on Monday evening before returning to Boston on Wednesday.

Jalen Brunson scored 27 points and Karl-Anthony Towns had 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Knicks, who led the lead with 2-0 in this round last year and are still looking for their first conference finale since 2000.

“I don't think we came to be satisfied with the attitude, but I think it was only unconscious to be 2-0,” said Brunson. “Just not as we have to approach the game.”

Boston made more 3 points in the regular season than any team in NBA history when all four meetings swept against New York. But the Celtics were freezing cold to open this series, starting with an NBA Playoff Record 45 Misses in game 1.

They made their first four 3-point shots in a blasty start on Saturday and were never really slowed down. They ended 6 for 7 behind the arc on the way to a 36:20 lead.

“Just a matter of time,” said Tatum.

Tatum and Pritchard achieved consecutive 3s for a 55-33 lead with 4 1/2 minutes in half, and Boston took a lead of 71-46 into the changing room.

New York was 5 for 25 behind the bow and shot 68.6% in free throws – although this was mainly due to the fact that Mitchell Robinson 4 went for 12 when the Celtics deliberately polluted the bad free thrust.
