Brandon Woodruff pulled the rehab task due to an ankle injury

Right -handed Brandon Woodruff Seemed to be about to return to the brewers, but that has to wait a little longer. He has a right ankle tendinitis and was returned by his rehab task, according to Andrew Wagner by Freeman Sports and 105.7 The fan.

The 32 -year -old Woodruff tries to work back from the shoulder operation. His 2023 was canceled due to a violation of his litter shoulder, and the subsequent operation prevented him from being able to do in 2024. He was still working to get well when the 2025 campaign started to land on the 15-day injured list.

He didn't seem to be too far away because he started with a rehab order very early, which made a Moll League appearance on April 12th. Rehabilitation tasks for jugs can take up to 30 days, so he came to the end of this window and started yesterday.

However, this new injury will prevent this from happening. It is unclear how long the brewers expect to rest his ankle, but according to the rules MLB he has to wait at least seven days before starting a new rehab task.

This will delay the return of a pitcher who was once a large part of the success of the club. From 2019 to 2022 he achieved an average of 3.02 with an average of 3.02 over 528 inning for the Brewers. It excluded 30% of the batteries, only gave walks with a clip of 6.3% and brought Grounder in the game for 42.2% of the balls.

The brewers did not draw him before the 2024 season, but signed him to a back contract that violated his expected absence. Last year he earned $ 2.5 million and earns $ 5 million this year, followed by a buyout of USD 10 million for a 20 million $ 20 million.

At the moment, the brewers have to deal with a few other rotation problems. The club was selected by the right -handed man Tobias Myers Yesterday morning, hoping that Woodruff would take its rotation point, although that will not happen now. Creeps that have been selected to the minors have to stay below at least 15 days, unless they are called back to replace someone who goes to the injured list. This means that Myers can only be called back if someone else is injured.

Also left -handed Jose Quintana Has a little problem. The left should begin the game on Wednesday, but has a “harmful arm” per Curt Hogg from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The club plans to drive it until Friday, but that can depend on how it reacts between and back then. The problem with which he deals was not recognizable in the data of his last start, since his speed actually increased at all its pitch compared to his previous excursion.

Optioned with Myers and Quintana for a few days, the club is up Freddy PeraltaPresent Quinn priest And Chad Patrick as healthy rotation options. Peralta and priests are planned for today and tomorrow, but the association needs a solution for Wednesday and possibly another solution if Quintana has to miss some time.

Patrick only started yesterday and will not be available until Wednesday. Tyler Alexander Has thrown relief, but has been relieved for the brewer in the last two days. Maybe on Wednesday you could rely on him for several innings if you can stay between and then from him. Aaron CivaleOn Thursday on Thursday on the IL due to a femoral brace, four inner sessions threw in a rehab. That was his first rehab trip, but he received his pitch up to 50. Aaron Ashby And DL Hall are also on rehab order, but Ashby's most recent excursion was only two innerings, while Hall was only three years old.

Elvin Rodríguez Is on the 40 man, but has been selected in the past few days and is therefore in the same boat as Myers. Carlos Rodríguez I just set up on Saturday and would not be rested by Wednesday. Logan Henderson Is on the 40 man and could be an option. Outlook Jacob Misiorowski Could also be available, although he is not yet on the 40-man squad.

All of these different and other injuries have left the Milwaukee rotation in a river state all year round. This initiated the late signing of Quintana and the trade in the early season for the priest. With so many men who approach a return from the injured list, stabilization could be just above the horizon, but that will not contain Woodruff for the time being.
