Frontal accident with ambulances asks the warning of EMS

Honolulu (Hawaiinewsnow) – A paramedic was injured and an ambulance was damaged to Oahus North Shore on Monday in a frontal accident.

It happened shortly before 9 a.m. in the Waialua Beach Road.

According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, an ambulance was directly hit by lights and sirens by a limousine in a 911 call.

In an attempt to survive another vehicle, Ems said, the 83-year-old limousine driver illegally exceeded a double line and collided with the ambulance.

The driver was treated at the scene, but rejected hospital traffic.

A 50-year-old paramedic suffered minor injuries and also rejected transport.

A second EMS unit was sent to treat the original emergency call.

The damaged ambulance was removed and is replaced by a newly blessed unit, officials said.

Honolulu Ems calls on the drivers to give in rescue vehicles with light and sirens.
