The Apple Watch could have saved my life five years ago

A little more than five years ago, in the early morning hours of my birthday, I woke up less, which I was for an intensive and longer alarm that Apple Watch gives them when it is dead.

It wasn't.

My brush with the EKG alarm

Apple Watch actually informed me that it had signed signs of an irregular heart rhythm that indicated atrial fibrillation. Idiot that I am, I fell asleep again. It is not surprising that this has not been repaired. About 40 minutes later I gave up and decided to go to the hospital.

When I arrived in the hospital and the past, I told a very skeptical doctor that my watch signed signs of atrial fibrillation. He connected me to the large EKG machine, the miniaturized version of which had already diagnosed me from my wrist, and confirmed: “Saint crap, you are really in Afib”.

The strange is similar to many random AFIB discoveries that I read about, since the Apple Watch Series 4 came out with the EKG function. I didn't feel sick at all or strange in any other way.

When the EKG looked at it, it was obvious that something was wrong. But it didn't feel Wrong, unless I really tried to notice it. I felt what doctors call Extraser In the past that is temporary failure of the heart rhythm, but that was different.

In the end, I am still not sure whether I would have surely found out about my AFIB if I hadn't been an Apple Watch user – or a smartwatch with such a function, but this is a smartwatch. I am glad that as an irregular heart rhythm I torn the blood in my heart. And you Really I don't want this clot to drive into your brain or lungs.

Everything is fine five years later. For a while I took antiarhythmic medication and kept pace with cardiologists and regular exams. I also started to train and train that close my rings beyond the only leisure rank, which actually turned out to be fun.

Similar to the Zac Hall and its half marathon trip, the training has become part of the one I am, and this whole thing introduced me to me with great apps such as Smartgy and gentler stripes. To date, I am still being scared when the Apple Watch warns me that the battery is low and that it is about to die. And every time I gnaw myself and think: “Hey, better than me, buddy.”
