The number is a winner if you are interested in games.

In the basketball game at the highest level, the number for the New Orleans Pelicans was undesirable.

Despite the fourth best chance of making number 1 in the NBA Draft Lottery process, the pelicans fell into the seventh overall election in the drawing on Monday evening.

New Orleans hit gold twice, in 2012 with Anthony Davis and in 2019 with Zion Williamson when the chances were against the pelicans.

This time the electricity went in the opposite direction with better chances.

Surprisingly, Dallas landed number 1, although he only had a chance of 1.8 percent to make the top election. New Orleans entered the lottery with the fourth best opportunities (12.5%) to achieve the selection of number 1, but instead fell by three places.

The luck for the Mavericks ensures that Dallas Duke Star Cooper Flag will take a trade with the first choice.

Happiness also helps to relieve the pain and fear of Mavericks fans, who are still racing about Luke Doncic's trade to the Lakers for Davis.

As for the pelicans, while Flagg is the clear favorite, the teammates of Rutgers, Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey are considered the next available prospects.

Other top players who could be available for New Orleans are Baylor Guard VJ Edgecombe, Duke Khaman Maluach, Duke Small Stürmer Kon Knueppel, South Carolina Stürmer Collin Murray-Boyles, byu Guard Egor Demin, Illinois Guard Kasparas Jakucionis, Oklahoma Guard Jerkiah and Texas Guard Tresparas.

This marks the highest choice of pelicans since 2019 when they first selected Williamson. Williamson represented the team at this year's lottery.

The NBA design of 2025 will take place in New York from June 26th to 27th. The first round takes place in the Barclays Center. At the moment, the pelicans only have one choice in the upcoming draft.
