Innocent 16-year-old girl shot in the head and killed outside the NYC Charter School: COPS

An innocent 16-year-old girl was killed in front of a Bronx charter school on Monday evening and, according to police and law enforcement sources, was killed.

A dispute between two groups escalated outside the Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School, and a member of a group – probably another teenager – opened the fire and beat the girl, who, according to sources, was an innocent viewer.

One of the victim's friends tried to protect her when the shots broke out, but could not save the teenager according to a source.

Mediffs hurried to the Lincoln Hospital, where it was declared dead.

The shootout occurred near the intersection of the Home Avenue and the Tinton Avenue outside of the charter school, which serves classes for six to 12 years. Representatives of the school could not be achieved for a comment.

The killing of the teenager would be the first murder in the 42nd district this year. In the first quarter of the year, the Bronx recorded a steep decline in violent crime with a decline in murders by almost 30% and a decline in the shootings of the shootings compared to the previous year.

The police recovered three mussel sleeves at the scene of the fatal shootout.

No arrests were made on Monday evening, and the shooter remains at large.
