Drone video shows New Mexico MPs defuse children who deal with a charged weapon

Albuquerque, NM – The Sheriff in the most populous district in New Mexico recognizes the drone program of his department in order to disarm and prevent two children, which could have been a worse result.

The Sheriff's office of the Bernalillo County has recently published drone and body camera film material, which in February showed two young brothers a tense patient situation with two young brothers – the MPs can be heard repeatedly, who are calling the boys to drop their guns.

“Put it down, baby,” says one of you, as other MPs say that you have to speak to the boys.

The deputies used a non -fatal round to distract the boys before moving in. Sheriff John Allen said at one point that one of the boys raised the gun and pulled the trigger, but she bothered.

Allen said that the drone had provided a critical viewpoint to help the MPs evaluate the situation in real time so that they can secure the area safely and quickly.

No fees were submitted. Instead, the authorities have been working since the stalemate to receive family access to trauma therapy, medical services, behavior support and even paid food cards in advance.

Before the MPs responded to a report by children who played with a invited pistol that day, the MPs were called to the house at least 50 times to have problems with the boys and their family.

All used the incident on February 16 as an example of the ongoing challenges with which law enforcement was opposed.

“This case shows the complex interface between youth crime, mental health and public security,” said Allen in a declaration published on Thursday. “We take important steps to close service and expand our ability to work with young people who are involved in firearms or violent crimes.”

New Mexico had several cases of violence in which young suspects were involved, including a deadly hit and run in Albuquerque and a shootout in Las Cruces in March, in which three more and 15 others were wounded. Prosecutors, law enforcement agencies and republican legislators asked the democratic governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to call a special legislative period in order to solve themselves with the problem of the state.
