Clock: Mikal Bridges' defensive life is summarized in a Knicks-Celtics game

Scroll down to see my video, how the creativity that Mikal Bridges showed in his game clinching theft at the end of game 1 of the playoff series of the second round of New York Knicks against the Boston Celtics.

Mikal Bridges has inspired many discussions under Knicks fans since the team brought five picks to New York in the first round last summer. The 28-year-old Villanova product was one of the best defenders in the league, but did not always show this form in its first season with the team. The Knicks defense ended in points in the middle of the pack in points that were permitted per 100 possessions, although they had two of the best wing stopper in the league in bridges and upper floor anunoby.

In the playoffs, however, bridges look like a person other than from October to mid -April. The standard that made him an all-defensive actor with the Phoenix Sun in his early years seems to be back.

After Bridges thrived against the Detroit Pistons in the rock fight of the Knicks, he made several crucial pieces to bring New York to be able to upset the strongly preferred Celtics in the second round.

The most remarkable was his theft of the Celtics star Jaylen Brown at the end of game 1. The sequence was the perfect encapsulation of his intelligence, physicality and strength. He sealed the first of the Knicks' two 20-point comeback victories in the series by playing more like an NFL cornerback than an NBA small striker.

If New York manages to bring the surprise to the East Finale for the first time since 2000, the defensive resumption of bridges will have to thank you for it.
