Three of the suspects fled from the scene after the crash. One was caught because he suffered a broken leg during the crash.

Fox45 spoke to Griffith's neighbor Katherine Pinto on Monday.

“I was shocked. I mean, you are used to seeing your neighbors,” said Pinto.

Howard County's police still have to say whether the young person is charged or what charges he is facing.

“I would like to see how they are arrested. And whatever the punishment for it, they should get the full thing,” said Pinto.

Regan Nelson laid flowers to Griffith's honor at the crash site.

“She deserves flowers. She deserves to make it home,” said Nelson.

Nelson initially spoke to FOX45 on Saturday and shared the cell phone film material after the crash.

Nelson addressed her frustration about young laws that seem to protect the criminals.

“What protect what? What is really important? These children who are out here like Grand Theft Auto. Or the life of this person or the questions of the community and security,” said Nelson.

Nelson's 13-year-old son, Leo, shared his view of youth crime.

“I think it's just stupid actions. It doesn't make you cool,” he said. “You know it is wrong, you did it anyway, someone died, now you are hiding from the consequences,” said Leo.

While the search for the other three suspects that fled out of the stolen car, there are questions about the efforts to find them.

“I am excited to see what is being done to find these children. I think it's three days since Friday,” said Nelson.

The demand for changes in the youth court laws are remained.

“How long will it take and what will change,” added Nelson.
