Violent 72 hours on the mobile phone after reports on crimes have dropped

Mobile, Ala. (Wala) – Some neighbors in Midtown Mobile are still shaken after the police said that a man accidentally opened the fire on the drivers during the rush hour.

The 43-year-old Roderick Alexander was arrested near the scene.

This shocking crime follows a very violent weekend in the port city.

The mobile police reacted to a fatal shootout, two armed robberies in which one of the victims were shot, three stitches and two cases of shots fired into a house.

Before all this violence in the past 72 hours, the director of public security said Rob Lasky that the violent crime in Mobile is actually tending for the second time in a row. He says that compulsive rapes have dropped by 59%, robberies have dropped by 14%, the shootings have dropped by 11%and shots in houses or cars have dropped by 42%.

According to Lasky, there have been 12 murders this year compared to 17 at that time last year. But he says that your job is far from being over.

These statistics show enormous progress, ”said Lasky. It is like that, they go outside or go to a park.”
