5 people who were admitted to the hospital in Leimerert Park during the fiery crash at the end of the police hunt on the S. Clenshaw Boulevard, says LAFD

Hyde Park, Los Angeles (KABC) – A police chase ended on Monday in a fiery crash in Leimerert Park in Los Angeles, with a 30-year-old woman left out in a critical condition and injured four more, including a 12-year-old boy, said the authorities.

Officials of the Southwest Division of the Los Angeles police pursued a suspect before the chase at Crenshaw Boulevard south of Vernon Avenue ended on Monday around 8:20 p.m.

Firefighters came to the 4,300 block of the South Crenshaw Boulevard a short time later to make a rescue connection. According to Margaret Stewart, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles fire brigade, two occupants had to be freed from a red sedan.

According to the LAFD, five people were hospitalized. The condition of the 12-year-old boy was not immediately clear.

Air7 flew across the scene, where LAFD treated several people and invited patients to ambulance. The video shows the Red Limousine with serious damage and airbags.

Air7 also discovered a crashed LAPD patrol vehicle. It seemed as if the vehicle had caught fire after the crash.

According to the LAPD, the suspect was sought in the persecution for Dui and remains excellent. No suspicious description was provided.

Further details about what exactly led to the crash were not immediately available.
