Two deaths that are examined in the city of Kleiner Polk County

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was called to support the local police in the examination of the death of two people in the small town of Aragon in Polk County.

What we know:

The law enforcement officers surrounded a house in Walnut Street all Tuesday afternoon and the evening in Walnut Street when the investigation took place.

The GBI confirmed the deaths, but did not explain how they happened. They said there was no active threat and that the police were not involved in the deaths.

“At the moment it is an active examination. We handed it over to the GBI,” said John Tortoso, chief of police from Aragon.

Two people were found dead in the city of Aragon in the Polk County.

Kyle Causey, who lives near the scene, described the residents as “neighborly” and said he hadn't heard shots.

“I didn't hear a shot. So I just turned my head and saw a cop car. That's all I saw,” said Causey.

In the further course of the investigation, the GBI must notify the families of the victims.
