Man shot and killed in confrontation with the Colorado police in the private parking lot near the International Airport Denver

A suspect is dead and an Aurora police officer is injured after a shootout on Monday afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m. in a private car park in Colorado near the 56th and the Himalaya Street, which mainly serves the international airport pilots from Denver.

According to the Aurora police department, a lot of employees asked for help before the shootout to report a suspicious person who entered.

The officer was injured while the chief of police from Aurora, Todd Chamberlain, said he was trying to deal with a combative suspect. The suspect, a man, was taken to the hospital for injuries and eventually declared dead afterwards.

The official is a four -year -old veteran of the police authority.
