McSO examines the suspicious death of pastor in the New River

New River, AZ – A suspicious death is examined in a new river district.

On Monday at 7:30 p.m., the MPs of the Sheriff office of Maricopa County reacted to a house near the 20th Street and the Calvary Road to receive reports on a deceased older man.

When the MPs arrived, they found the victim and mutated the bad game.

The man was identified by McSO as a 76-year-old William Schonemann.

Neighbors say ABC15 that she knew the man as a pastor of Bill, who led in the New River Bible Chapel for decades.

People who knew Pastor Bill described him as a “true pastor” and loving father. Friends and parishioners told us that he was a veteran who liked to work on cars and even airplanes.

Some even described his sermon on Sunday and said ABC15 that he would be missing.

“My heart has just fallen,” said the former parishion of Zane Sharpe. “It fell to the core. Like a sweet guy, also a pastor. Everyone holds pastors to a high degree, but this type really lived what he spoke.”

Detectives are waiting for the results of an autopic report to determine the cause of death.

ABC15 is working on receiving more information and will update this story when it is available.
