Grady Judd: Driver shot fatally before he slapped home in Lakeland, and killed the man who comes by on an electric bike

The driver of a Mercedes was fatally shot, shortly before his vehicle hit a house in Lakeland and killed an electric cyclist who came by at the time of the crash, said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

The fatal crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. along the Pirates Way in the area of ​​Secret Cove, Judd said on Monday in a press conference.

The MPs received a call for the first time because of the crash, but when they answered, they found the driver, who is described as a young black man, with a gunshot wound in the chest.

Polk County's sheriff said that the white Mercedes-AMG, who was driven by the young black man, moved to the Secret Cove area. Then the MPs said that other young black men came to the vehicle and were seen.

The MPs and other first aiders said they found the car completely in the house in Lakeland. They pulled the driver out of the vehicle when, according to Judd, they found the gunshot wound.

The MPs also said they had found another person, a 38-year-old man under the car who was dead. The investigators believe that the man ran the electric bike and passed the house when the Mercedes ram into it.

The investigators also said that they found two gallons bags of marijuana in the Mercedes and a “thick bark money”. The driver of the Mercedes is suspected of having driven to the area to conclude a drug agreement and the other men planned to tear him down, said officials.

Judd said the MPs had a video about what happened on the Way Pirates during the incident.
