NBA stars, athletes and celebrities react to Jayson Tatum's injury

The 2024-25 season in Boston Celtics is officially on the ropes after a defeat against the New York Knicks in the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference on Monday.

But even if Boston was now involved in a 3-1 deficit, the majority of the focus on the Celtics on the health of Jayson Tatum was determined on Monday in the fourth quarter with a serious leg/ankle injury.

Tatum fell on the pitch in Madison Square Garden in clear pain after pressing his right foot from the hardwood to hit OG anunoby into a loose ball.

The 27-year-old star immediately hit the ground with an unacceptable injury, with Tatum not putting no weight on his right leg when he made the tunnel down.

The head coach of Celtics, Joe Mazzulla, had no official update to Tatum's status after the defeat of Boston against New York against Boston and found that Tatum will be subjected to an MRI on Tuesday.

While the nature of Tatum's injury or the severity was not given an official word, the sight of Tatum, who, after a non-contact game, took the back of his ankle, Celtics fans who fear what could be a long-term absence for the team's top player.

“I really wanted to cancel that,” said Simmons at the beginning of the live podcast after the victory of the Knicks. β€œTonight was not a good night for Celtics fans. Holy [expletive]. … “The worst scenario, this is an Achilles. The best scenario are torn ligaments in his ankle or something. Either way, for the series and God only knows how long it is.”

“The irony of this is that this was the best games of his career up to this point,” added Simmons later and noticed: “We will see what happens to Tatum, but this could fall as one of the darker Celtics days.”
