Rolla man killed and woman injured at the Maries County UTV crash

A Rolla man was killed and a Rolla woman was seriously injured on Monday evening in an accident in UTV on County Road 522 in Maries County, said Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 7:21 p.m. in the 17000 block of the County Road 522.

Soldiers reported that a defender from 2021 can-am UTV drove western direction when he went from the right side of the street and hit a tree. Both occupants have partially ejected the effects.

A 61-year-old man from Rolla, who was at UTV Passenger, was not wearing a seat belt and was declared dead by Maries County Coroner David at 8:25 p.m. The driver, a 61-year-old woman from Rolla, who also did not wore a seat belt, suffered serious injuries and was transported by EMS in Phelps Health in Rolla.

The UTV was towed through DHL tow as a whole and from the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was supported by the Sheriff office of Maries County and additional patrol staff.
