Suunto Run is a light and affordable running guard for (you guessed it) runners

After many rumors in the past few months, Suunto has announced his latest Running Watch, the simply mentioned Suunto Run.

In contrast to the brand's race, which was published last year, the run of £ 199/249 will sit on the entry of the line -up. As the name suggests, this is a special option for runners of all levels.

This means that it is particularly light compared to a rounded sports station. With only 36 g (with the textile strap; 51 g with the silicon strap) and with a thickness of 11.5 mm, these are relatively large 46 mm housing and 1.32-inch amoled display.

The housing, available in lime, frost gray, all black, coral orange, also houses two physical buttons and a rotating crown. In the meantime, the fabric strap should ensure that it remains comfortable around the clock.

Of course, it's not just about the hardware. Much of the experience that Suunto promises, promising centers for important driving tools such as a marathon mode, a virtual 'Ghost Runner' Pacer and dedicated track -running functions. Like competing tools from Polar, Coros and Garmin, they should help users monitor their progress and fine -tuning.

The GNSS navigation with bread tree paths for offline use is also displayed, with Suunto 20 hours of tracking available in the most precise all-satellite system/two-frequency mode. If it is in power-saving GNSS mode, it can still take up to 40 hours, while outside the training tracking 12 days of the “daily mode” catter are cited.

What about the rest?

In addition to running (and specific modes for triathlon, marathon, hiking trails and treads), the Suunto Run also supports over 30 more sports modes. It also covers the expected health tracking basis with sleeping, restoring analysis and an app training app for stress management. The battery life looks solid, quoted in daily mode for up to 12 days, which means that less time is bound to a charger and meets more time on the sidewalk.

On the smart functions, the run in the memory is on board (a welcome function for telephone workouts, even if it is not as advanced as offline streaming), weather updates and alarms. Of course, it synchronizes with the Suunto app for a deeper data analysis and can also be linked to third-party apps such as strava and training speakers.

We tested this and are in the process of completing our judgment. Be excited about our detailed evaluation in the coming weeks.
