Oswaldo Cabrera injury update: Latest on Yankees -Infielder

The New York Yankees -infield Oswaldo Cabrera was taken off the field against the Seattle Mariners in an ambulance against the Seattle Mariners on Monday evening after suffering a cruel injury to the ankle on the top of the ninth inner.

Cabrera ran home with a victim fly from Aaron Richter to extend the leadership of the Yankees to 11-5. He seemed to take a bad step and his left ankle turned to the side in a terrible scene in T-Mobile Park.

Cabrera was down for a few minutes before an ambulance was brought to the field. He had a clip placed on his left ankle before entering the ambulance in a stretcher, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said reporters after the game. He was taken to the hospital with team sports coach Tim Lentych.

“I think everyone understands that it was a pretty serious situation,” said Boone after the game. “So I pray for our guy tonight and hope for the best. Trust that he is in good hands while going through the night here.”

The judge who hit the victim's fly revealed what Cabrera said to him before he was tired.

“Shortly before he was deported, he just called me and said: 'Hey, I played?'” Said Richter. “So you only show you what kind of guy he is. Something like that happens and the only thing he is for all the pain and everything did I play?”

Judge added: “He takes care of everyone in this room. He loves to be a Yankee. … He carries his jersey with pride. This is a difficult one, especially a guy who has changed all his life and finally has the opportunity to be our everyday type and to exchange ideas about it.”

Cabrera, 26, is in the Majors in his fourth year, all with the Yankees. Born in Venezuelan, he made his debut in 2022 and performed in 100 games in the last two seasons.

This year Cabrera, as a full -time start, thrown .243/.322/.308 with a Homerun, fought 11 runs and an ops of .630.

In the course of his career, he appeared in 301 games and lowered .234/.295/.346 with 20 Home Runs, 95 RBIs and an OPS of .641.
