A single mother in Colorado who managed to beat cancer four times was killed when a stranger who claimed that he had just cleaned his gun into her house with balls, said police officer.

The 49-year-old Jennifer James was fatally shot when the 20-year-old Lake Zerzer-Work work opened the fire from his car on April 28 in front of the victim's house in Berthoud, north of Denver.
