The Eurovision -Song competition takes drastic steps after rehearsal material has been “potentially hacked” on the Internet after an online feed.

According to reports, the organizers of the competition have brought in lawyers and cyber security experts to deal with the leak.

At a press conference this morning, Martin Green, the Eurovision director of the European Radio Union, addressed the sample leaks.

“During these shows we have to send a signal to the juries and among our different members the technology differs in modern times,” he said.

“And therefore, if you intend to do this, you may be able to check it in … is what I understand. It is sad that people do it.

“It also shows you what a requirement is out there. Every year we manage to tighten ourselves a little more and we will continue to do it. '

Green further explained that a cyber security team had managed to reduce a large part of the film material and that he did not want the competition to be spoiled for anyone.

“We regret that despite our best efforts to keep the content of our shows a surprise for the millions, to observe worldwide,” added an EBU spokeswoman. “It is unfortunate that some people spoil experience by publishing the trial content online online.

“If possible, we work with platforms, EBU members, cyber security experts and lawyers to remove this content to protect artists and the integrity of the live shows.”

Reports that the leaked film material contained a message from singer Celine Dion, who wished the participants luck and was rejected her return to the Eurovision phase from the Swiss Radio SRG SSR.

They insisted that there are currently no changes to Celine Dion – we are still in close contact with her.

In December 2022, Dion revealed that she took a break from the tour to concentrate on her health after being diagnosed with a stiff personnel syndrome (PLC).

The My Heart will achieve a dramatic comeback at the 2024 opening ceremony in Paris, where she sang Edith Piaf's classic hymn à l'amour from the Eiffel Tower.

The second semi -final begins on Thursday 8 p.m. Great Britain, before the final on Saturday.
