Bill Simmons reacts to Celtics, the game 4, Jayson Tatum loses injury

Monday evening was a hard night for the Boston Celtics and their fans. The Celtics not only fell 3-1 in the New York Knicks in the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference series, but star striker Jayson Tatum decreased with an apparently serious injury.

Bill Simmons held a podcast after the game to discuss the violation of Tatum and Boston's loss against the Knicks.

While Simmons did not want to speculate too much about Jayson Tatum and his health, he admitted that the injury did not look good.

“I really wanted to cancel this. Tonight was not a good night for Celtics fans,” said Bill Simmons. “Really hard loss as a msg. I won't speculate too much about the Tatum -ding, but it didn't look good.

“The worst scenario is an Achilles. The best scenario is like torn ligaments in his ankle or a kind of bad ankle injury, but either way, for the series and God only knows how long.”

Tatum suffered an apparently non -contact injury, which was about 3 minutes in game 4. The Celtics remained the Knicks 111-104 when Tatum went down. The Knicks won the game 121-113 to take the lead 3-1 in the best-of-Seven series.

Jayson Tatum had a great game at the time of his injury. He scored 42 points with 8 rebounds and 4 assists before graduating in the last minutes of the fourth quarter.

Tatum was 16 out of 28 from the field and Association 7 of his 16 3-point attempts.

“It doesn't look great and the irony was that this was one of the best games in his career up to that point,” said Simmons. “I mean, he alone kept the Celtics on their own for three quarters and was incredibly good.”

While Tatum played well, others fought. Outside of Tatum and Derrick White, which made 6 of his 11 3-point attempts, the Celtics made only 5 out of 21 3S.

“It looked like the Knicks are just pulling away when [the injury] happened. … it was really only Tatum and White for the Celtics tonight, ”said Simmons.” Nobody really appeared before this injury.

“The [Kristaps] Porzingis' minutes were terrible. The two older people [Al] Horford and [Jrue] Holliday brought nothing to the table. [Payton] Pritchhard did not really give them the boost from the bank and vice versa [Jalen] Brunson was great. [Mikal] Bridges made some large, large, small 8 to 10 foot lines. Upper floor [Anunoby] Made a few 3s. … the Knicks really looked like a better all-round team until the injury. “

Celtics trainer Joe Mazzulla was asked about the game after the injury to Jayson Tatum and said he had no update yet. Mazzulla said that he was told that it was an injury to the lower body.

Tatum stayed on the floor for a few minutes before it was removed. Espn showed him in a wheelchair, which drove into the changing room shortly later.

“We will get the MRI tomorrow, you know and we'll see what it is,” said Joe Mazzulla. “Obviously, they are always concerned about the health of someone. So it is double. We are concerned about his health and where he is and then we get what we have to do better for game 5 if we return to Boston.”

Game 5 in Boston is discontinued on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. It is transferred from TNT on television. The Knicks will try to close the series on Wednesday while the Celtics will try to stay alive, probably without their superstar Jayson Tatum.
