Driver who was killed in two vehicles on State Road 44 in Deland

Orlando, Fla. – – A driver was killed on Monday morning in an accident with two pickup trucks on State Road 44 in the Shell Road in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Soldiers said the crash took place around 7:52 a.m. and included a 2018 Toyota Tacoma and a 2023 RAM 2500. The driver of the Toyota, who has not yet been identified, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the RAM were brought in Adventhealth Deland with injuries that were not considered life -threatening.

Both directions of State Road 44 in the Shell Road remain blocked, while the authorities continue their investigation. A media publication is issued as soon as details are available.
