The husband was charged nine years after the mysterious death in 2016

The city of Fairbanks, almost a decade after a woman in a rural house near Tigerton was found with a fatal gunshot wound, the authorities arrested their husband in connection with her death.

James C. Radford, 39, was taken into custody last month and was officially charged with the first degree of ruthless murder in the death of his wife Sabrina Radford 2016. The arrest follows a lengthy and complex examination of the Sheriff office of the Shawano County, in which the case was reopened on the basis of what civil servants described as “suspicious circumstances” about Sabrina's death.

On April 11, 2016, the MPs answered a call from James Radford, who reported that his wife had shot himself in her residence in County Road J. at that time. The law enforcement authorities could not definitely determine whether their death was a suicide or foul.

Despite the initial uncertainty, the investigators pursued the case for nine years and carried out several interviews – including Radford – and previously checked evidence. With progress in forensic technology and the help of experts, the authorities were finally able to rule out suicide as the cause of death.

According to the new findings, the case was expelled to the public prosecutor's office of the Shawano district. On April 15 of this year, Radford was arrested in Waukesha County and taken to Shawano County prison, where he remains in custody with a cashier of 800,000 US dollars.

“We understand that the past nine years have been for the past nine years, but please know that this case has never been forgotten,” said the Sheriff's office in a press release. “Our office worked hard to bring answers and accountability.”
