Victim of a deadly Hollywood crash as a committed family man, hairdresser

Hollywood, Fla. -The victim of a fiery crash, which became fatal over the weekend in Hollywood, will be remembered as a family -oriented man who gave people around him.

Douglas Freeman was identified by his former boss Mike Stevens, the owner of TopCuttaz2.0.

Stevens said Freeman just passed the shop last week to say hello.

“It's just incredible, it's pretty sad for his children, for his family,” said Stevens. “He was a family -oriented guy.”

Stevens also said Local 10 News that Freeman was a hairdresser who was known for his energy, laughter and dedication to his craft.

“A lot of fun, a lot of laughter – you know, he was a committed hairdresser. He just wanted better for himself,” said Stevens.

The new Dash camera video seems to show a car that is thrown into another car shortly before it is thrown into another car at the intersection of the 40th Avenue and the Sheridan Street.

Shortly afterwards, a second car fell against a wall and broke out in flames.

The Hollywood police said Freeman, the driver of the burning vehicle, died at the scene.

They said that the other driver had been brought to the hospital with injuries who were considered not life -threatening. He or she was not identified.

Lily Pishik, who lives nearby, said she heard the effects and hurried on the crash.

“I heard the fire. I said,” Oh, another crash “, and then I saw a huge fire,” she said. “There was a tree – the tree fell after the fire.”

Pishik called 911 and stayed at the scene when the flames spread.

The Hollywood police said they would continue to examine the crash.
