Teenager who is charged with the shot death of 15-year-old Amillier Penn

Official accusations for the death of the 15-year-old Amillier Penn in Grand Rapids were submitted in June 2024.

Amillier Penn was killed on June 2, 2024 on the corner of the Hall St. and Umatilla St. while playing football outside with friends.

Those who are familiar with the new HBO show “All Access PD: Grand Rapids” will recognize the story behind this senseless murder, as was presented in the first episode of the season. Penn was shot eight times, and to this day nobody had been charged because of his death.

Silent Observer had offered a reward of 10,000 US dollars for information that led to the arrest of the person or the people who shot and killed Amillier Penn.

Those who have seen this episode of “All Access PD” will recognize the name of the 17-year-old who is now being charged Cartiyae Pascal. Wood-TV8 reports that Pascal, who is charged as an adult, was charged with an open murder.

Before Pascal was charged on Tuesday, Amillier's father published on Facebook that the planning commission of Grand Rapids City will hold a hearing to determine whether they will rename a distance of the Umatilla St. (from the St. Hall to Union St.), “Amillier Penn Way”.
