Fatal crash on I -75 – truck driver arrested | Local news

UPDATE: The East Ridge police published the names of the two people who were killed in an accident on the I-75 on Sunday.

The police say that 23-year-old Lane Smith from Fayetteeville, Tennessee, and 61-year-old David “Jeff” Huggins from Dawsonville, Georgia, were killed.

The crash occurred when the police did not slow down, the 65-year-old Joseph Antoinier, which led to an accident with the Semi and six other vehicles.

Three adults were brought to an intensive care unit and two children were critically injured.

Two other people were treated and released for smaller burns when they tried to free two of the victims of burning vehicles.

A Gofundme was set up for Smith's wife and two small children who survived the crash.

Antoinier is charged with ruthless murder, ruthless danger and ruthless serious bodily harm.

Previous history: Clint Utelton, police chief of East Ridge, says that a truck driver is behind bars after not slower, which caused the fatal crash on Interstate 75 Sunday.

The police department of East Ridge is still investigating the crash.
