Trellix DLP endpoint fully completed data leaks in Windows and MacOS

Trellix announced progress from Trellix DLP Endpoint Complete, available worldwide in Q2 2025.

New offers and functions include intelligent functions to improve the DLP solutions (data loss prevention) of Trellix so that customers can protect sensitive information in non-text file formats that strengthen compliance through visual labeling functions, set the ex-filtration via text in web forms such as AI chat interactions and data during the vertebrate file sharing between Protect MacOS devices.

“By expanding the DLP functions to non-text formats and the support of emerging channels such as AI Webchats and Airdrop, we equip customers to develop further and to confidently involve new technologies,” said Ted Wilson, Senior Director, Product Management, Data Security, Trellix. “When it comes to data, customers are concerned about insider threats and they are concerned about compliance – and our solutions will deal with both.”

The risk of insider threats continues to grow, with almost a third of the organizations experiencing an insider threat attack last year. In addition, compliance stress already taxes resource-controlled teams, and almost eight out of ten CISOS believe that the pace of regulatory change is not sustainable. Trellix DLP Endpoint Complete protects sensitive information and prevents data leaks in Windows and MacOS, improves with important functions and offers to stop potential data exiltration and improve compliance. The advantages are:

  • Optical Charabe identifier (OCR) to the end point (Windows): Protects sensitive information in non-text file formats and extract text from images, screenshots, PDFs and scanned documents for increased visibility, with most western and Asian languages being supported.
  • Text -upload blocking (Windows): Prevents sensitive text via web forms, especially to data ceiling via browser, including common digital communication channels such as web-based chat and genai input requests.
  • Visual lettering (Windows): Reduces the end user error and improves compliance by ensuring that the documents for sensitivity are clearly marked, are aimed at single classification and can be color coded for the awareness of users.
  • Airdrop and clipboard (MacOS): Monitors and blocks sensitive data components via airdrop and intermediate display functions.

Customers currently have access to the Trellix DLP network-OCR-Add-on for improved productivity and improved visibility of the unstructured data protection. This publication introduces an OCR add-on for endpoint and a comprehensive OCR suite that is compatible with all DLP products from Trellix. All Trellix Data Security Suite customers benefit from the OCR suite with access to OCR endpoint and network functions without any additional costs.
