No. 17 Tennessee Baseball (39-13, 15-12 sec) will fight on Tuesday in a competition of the week in Knoxville against Belmont Bruins (24-28, 13-11 MVC).

Tuesday is Senior Night. Hunter Ensley will go through the senior ceremony in his last game in his last game in the Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The first place in the Lindsey Nelson Stadium takes place in the Sec Network +at 5:00 p.m.

Tennessee joins the game that has a series loss against Vanderbilt. The Vols won game one with 3: 2 behind another incredible start of Liam Doyle, but Ut the series in the games two and three could not fell to 10-6 or 7: 5.

Tenesseese could not use the possibilities that were consistent enough, defensive continued to suffer, Marcus Phillips fought again with the runners and the bullpen was not as good as necessary, which led to the following losses.

The series loss expands a trouble trend for the Vols, which have lost four in a row and five of their last six. The series of this weekend in Fayetteeville against Arkansas is a big one because it is concerned with the SEC tournament from Tennessee and the later NCAA tournament seed.

Belmont was a mediocre MVC team and fought against the P4 competition at the beginning of the season. The Bruins are 0-7 against Vanderbilt, Notre Dame and Kentucky, the other three P4 teams they played this year.

Belmont was once annoyed by Kentucky in a three-game series and Vanderbilt in his lonely Matchup during the week against the Commodores.

Head coach Dave Jarvis is in his 28th season in Belmont and has no pre-season all-round selection. The bruins were selected to the T-8. to end in the MVC pre-season survey.

The competition on Tuesday is the fifth year in a row, in which the Vols confronted the Bruins in their last non-conference game of the regular season. UT has an advantage of 15-4 series and has defeated Belmont in the last 10 meetings.

This is not a team that should have Tennessee on angery alert. Expect a stress -free victory in the senior evening.

Notes for injuries/availability
  • In the second game against Kentucky a foul ball unfortunately met Tennessee Relief Pitcher Tanner Wiggins in the mouth. Tony Vitello said that there were teeth that were involved in Wiggins' injury, and the second year was then operated on his jaw.
    • Read more about the Wiggins status here.
  • UNC Transfer First Baseman Alberto Osuna does not remain eligible.
    • But two montages ago, Osuna once again initiated legal steps that still applied for the authorization. Read more here.
