Older woman who was killed in the Madison House Fire

Madison, Miss. (Wlbt) – A woman is dead in Madison after a house fire on Tuesday morning.

According to Madison's police, Madison's fire brigade received a 911 call for a house on the Spring Hill Drive at 10:22 a.m., which was completely devoured with an older woman who was still inside.

After the first aiders arrived, they started rescue efforts to find the woman into the house and bring it to safety.

The woman was transported to UMMC, where she was died.

The police say they do not publish their name at this time due to the type of call and the notification of next relatives.

An adult man was in the entrance outside the house when first aiders arrived.

He was treated on site and transported to UMMC, where he recovers a complete recovery.

The police and the fire from Madison are still on site while working on extinguishing the fire. The residents are asked to avoid the area.

The state fire marshal's office was appointed to support the investigation.
