Shots after the accident of hit-and-run ends with 1 hospital, 1 detained

Memphis, tenn. (WMC) – One person is in the hospital and another is in police custody after a crash between two drivers with fired shots ended.

The Memphis police said that the shots broke out when two vehicles collided with each other in Castleman and Winchester Road. The police did not state who was responsible for the shootout.

MPD reports that this was an accident that the drivers followed each other to the 3600 block of the Outland Drive until one of these drivers reports on foot from the area.

Less than an hour later, the police showed two people with injuries in Feuerwache No. 50 on East Raines Road.

According to the MPD, one of these victims was shot, while the other person's injuries are unknown at that time. One of the two was brought to a regional hospital for treatment with no critical condition.

The police say that a man is currently arrested. It is currently unclear whether the victims are one of the drivers involved in the crash.
