Mother of the 2-year-old girl, who was killed by Grandpa in triple murder, says: “He loved her so much.”

Keithville, La. (KSLA/Gray News)-The mother of a 2-year-old girl who was killed in a murder self-murder, in which three other dead people were killed, is no longer losing why it happened.

Kara Hanning, the mother of the 2-year-old Adalynn Mae Sadler, said she would not wish this tragedy to anyone.

On May 5, the Caddo Parish office was called to a house in Keithville, Louisiana, to carry out a social examination check.

When the MPs arrived there, they said, Adalynn's grandfather, the 60-year-old Leroy Sadler, refused to communicate with them.

Then the police heard a shot.

When they came to the house, they discovered four corpses. All four were dead of gunshot wounds.

Officials said Sadler killed himself as well as his wife Judy Sadler, 64; His son James Sadler, 29; and his granddaughter Adalynn Mae Sadler, 2.

Adalynn's mother said that she was at work the day on which shooting took place. She said that several friends had laid out to her this morning and asked if it was okay to her and Adalynn because they saw that something had happened in the streets of the Sadlers.

Hanning said she immediately sent Adalynn's babysitter to see if she was still discontinued. The babysitter said she didn't do it, so Hanning Adalyning called James Sadler. He didn't answer.

Then she called his father Leroy Sadler, and he didn't answer either.

Hanning left his work early and drove to the house. Then she was approached by the police. She asked her if it was okay for her baby.

“And they only looked at me with the saddest expression, and I lost it, I did it because I don't think anyone would like to lose their baby like this,” said Hanning.

Hanning said she had no idea what Leroy Sadler would have driven to kill his family, especially his granddaughter, whom he loved so much.

“I am completely perplexed for words because he loved this baby so much,” she said. “He loved her and I don't know what this caused or what he must have gone through. I feel terrible because I wish he had asked for help.”

Hanning said Leroy Sadler recently lost his stepdaughter of cancer about six months ago. She says that she knows that grief demands the family. Hanning said Judy Sadler was also sick. She believes that stress may have been a factor for what happened.

Hanning and her cousin asked that no one was slandered in this tragic history, but illuminates the aspect of mental health to help others who may have to fight.

“I can't hate him. I will never be able to hate him,” said Hanning. “I give him his actions. I wish it never happened, but I have no hatred of my heart for this man,” said Hanning.

Hanning said Adalynn was her only child. She describes her daughter as cute and cheeky, and her favorite word was “no”. Adalynn loved playing with bubbles, being outside and playing in water.
