Donovan Mitchell missed the second half of the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-109 game 4 against the Indiana Pacers after the team announced as a left ankle injury. It was a stomach for an embarrassing loss for the top seed cavaliers.

After the game, Cavs trainer Kenny Atkinson “had no idea” what Mitchell's status for game 5 would be, but after an MRI on Monday, in which he was diagnosed with a reaction of an ankle injury, Mitchell is officially active and in the starting line -up for the match for Tuesday evening.

This is a big sigh of relief for Cleveland, since Mitchell was the only ray of hope for the Cavaliers in the first three playoff games against the Pacers. Mitchell scored an average of 41.3 points per game in the second round in game 4. When he entered on Sunday, his dominance was her only consistent strength against an Indiana team that was at the perfect time. But then everything fell apart for the cavs.

The Pacers decided on the Cavaliers. They were around 80-39 at halftime (that 41-point gap for the largest half-time lead in playoff history) and won at the age of 20. Mitchell's injury at half -time was only the cherry on a catastrophic game. The injury occurred when he tried to take a few pictures during the half, but did not look comfortable. After all, he was not on the pitch or even on the Cavs bench when the second half started.

Here is a look at the injury:

Fortunately, it sounds as if Mitchell's injury is nothing serious, but the fact that he now has to deal with a nagging ankle injury contributes to the problems that are plagued by the Cavs.

Cleveland has to win three games in a row, including one in Indiana, to reach the final of the Eastern Conference. Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and De'andre Hunter play all injuries and missed game 2. This team was already working considerably less than full strength, but Mitchell was so good that he kept them in the mix.

This season at 64 victories could come to an end, but Mitchell will be on the pitch to help his team ward off the excretion.
