1 killed, 2 seriously injured in the crash of Monroe Co. on Tuesday afternoon

Monroe Co., Ohio (WTVG) – A Tecumseh -man was killed and two people from Brooklyn, Michigan, were seriously injured in an accident that took place in Rainsville Township around 2:45 p.m.

According to a press release from the Sheriff office of the Monroe County, the 28-year-old Hunter Boyd drove to the east on the S. Custer Road Road Road when he crossed the center line and entered the trail in a west direction, where he drove a car head-on.

A 50-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman in the other car were both brought to the Toledo Promedica Hospital. According to the press release, the 50-year-old was listed in a serious state and the 25-year-old was in a critical condition.

According to the press release, all occupants of both vehicles wore seat belts at the time of the crash. The authorities do not believe that speed or alcohol was factors in the crash.

The press release states that it is not known why Boyd pushed in a western direction.
