Mother and 5-year-old daughter suffer serious burns, the 3-year-old daughter, who was killed after a fiery crash along the North Freeway in Conroe

Conroe, Texas (KTRK) – Family members of a mother and two daughters who were hit during a tragic crash of the Mother's Day, demand justice, hoping that the indictment against the accused driver will lead to a culprit conviction.

On Sunday afternoon, family members say that Shavehn White picked up her son in Huntsville with her two daughters in the car when she got a flat tire.

“She was on the side of the road so that someone can get her and two hours to the accident,” said grandmother of the children Shundrell White Brady. “There was constant communication between her and one of her siblings and someone who tried to get her.”

WHITE Brady didn't know at the time, but she would soon find out that a suspected drunk driver, the 55-year-old Donald Carson, was plowed into her daughter's car that was parked in the inside of the I-45 in Conroe. Her granddaughter Chamiria was killed at the scene.

“It's terrible. One almost unbelievable. I still try to process all the information and everything that is going on, so I'm almost like I'm just going through the movements,” said White Brady.

The family says, white and her five -year -old daughter Chloe had suffered serious burns and broken bones. Both are currently in the Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Your Tolliver from Aunt Latricia says that the little girl asks to go home.

“'Where's my mother? I'm ready to go home,” says Tolliver. “And I said: 'Baby, they don't hurt you, they help. It will be fine, but it has to be quiet, don't move.'”

Carson, who is also in the hospital, faces a number of robbery homicide and two charges of intoxicating attack. An arrest warrant obtained from ABC13 shows that he told the Conroe police that he had drunk before the crash, although the investigators have not yet known where.

“I just hope and pray that people would make better decisions and decisions before they hit the wheel of a car because it affects everyone. It affects a family,” said Tolliver.

Records show that Carson has a further conviction in DWI in his record 22 years ago in Beaumont.
