Development: Pedestrians seriously injured by crash near Tysons West

A woman was hospitalized after a crash in front of Tysons West, the police said.

Officers and doctors were sent today (Wednesday) at 9:34 a.m. at the Westwood Center Drive on the Cornside BLVD after a driver had hit a pedestrian, according to police scanner.

“The patient is passed out, but breathes,” said the dispatcher and described the vehicle as a gray SUV.

The woman was taken to a hospital in a “life -threatening condition”, according to the Fairfax County police authority. The driver stayed at the scene.

From 10:24 p.m. Cornside BLVD will be closed at the intersection in both directions, since the detectives for the crash reconstruction examine the crash.

“Please find an alternative route,” said the FCPD.
