The Forever Commissioner explains the NBA design trivial process

Very important disclaimer that nobody will read or when you read, take it seriously.

This is an attempt by humor. It is also a kind of thought experiment. It is an attempt to determine whether there are principles and results that are openly expressed, supported by the NBA management, which are extremely unemployed NBA design Lottery events that we have seen in the past seasons. Or if there are league supports and wishes that agree with events and results. You have to judge whether I played fairly with these or not.

I will write something about security, possible error points and about what people think and what they could actually know or prove, about the NBA lottery process. It may be less that you might think. A lot of “logical errors” arguments is made, as it turns out. That proves nothing, I know, but I found that I knew or could be comfortable with much less than I thought.

I wrote so much about the first part that the security “how it could happen” and “What could a team actually do if it suspected something”.

There are probably more disclaimers that I should write. Liability exclusions are boring and boring. It is more fun to pretend to be the spirit of David Stern.

Make the NBA commissioner forever: David Stern.

Hello, I'm David Stern. They probably remember me as the greatest commissioner in NBA history. You will remember that I had led the association of an irrelevant, also RAN League, in which the final was broadcast by recorded delay, to the climax of global cool and glory. I even managed to convince the majority of them that the greatest player of all time of all time was this tedious compulsive player and all -round annoying franchise owner Michael Jordan and not the Hakeem Olajuwon. Yes, I did it, it was a great story, wasn't it?

You probably heard I'm dead. I have to admit that this is true. Fortunately, death through superior foresight and planning was only an inconvenience to the league that I love so well, the NBA.

What that was Adam Silver? Records of the media and franchise values? This is cute.

Adam is a nice boy and enjoys many of his own thoughts and actions. Let's be honest, much of what he does is boring. In addition, I don't want to be “in the bedroom” with him. There are limits. If the NBA chips are no longer, I will of course take over. Critics may call this “supernatural property”, but I prefer to consider it “benevolent leadership and control”. You cannot argue with the results.

Sometimes I play an even more direct role. You may think, a “spirit” or how I prefer to think about it, actively deceased executives, cannot grab a certain ping pong ball and put him in a slide without tedious managers who notice it. You would be wrong. Very. Incorrect.

Why, you ask, would I do that? As always, I have my reasons. Basketball grounds.

Let's start with how I see things and want you to work for the NBA.

  1. I want what is best for the NBA. I am, if nothing else, paternalistic about the league. Overall, this means an NBA with funny, competitive games, full arenas, big stars, great action strands and match -ups that you want to see. In a very real sense, this also means a profitable NBA and to ensure that success is required for certain teams. By that I mean the Lakers and some others. Don't look shocked, I said just as much when I died before the deceased.
  2. I don't think it should ever be rewarded to deliberately fail. Yes, I understand that the draft is the only likely way how certain teams can get the stars they need to take part in competitions. But this “tanking” has become hideous, an abundance of the integrity of the league and the games. When they are dead, you can see certain things, things that are really hideous. Tanking is worse. A monster cannot help but be monstrous, but teams can avoid being grotesque by trying to win. If it is clear that a team is trying and still bad, it is out of his control due to bad luck or events.
  3. These principles seem to be contradictory. But they are not with Daddy David's solid ectoplasmic handle on the balls, so to speak from the NBA design. Ektoplasma is an ugly word. However, if your team needs a little help, such as Detroit, then okay, for a year in the garbage dumps you will receive a 1-1 selection.
  4. Other things that bring you a good choice? If you lose your local hero and a franchise icon, you say that icon is LeBron. That will bring you a great selection. An owner who buys this multi -year, sad sack New Orleans team will do it. (Note for yourself, maybe it's time to simply give up Nola?)
  5. Signing stars and trying to win, but everything goes wrong? It depends on. How arrogant were you there? I am the only person in this entire NBA business whose ego is justified. How smart do you feel now, Matt Ishbia? Philly is a sad story, but Phoenix? This Beale deal was just stupid, so you can just suffer for a while, matt. Teams that always go to the design, like Detroit? That brings you a lot #5.
  6. In addition, I can only get you the choice, I cannot choose players for you. Well, I could probably do it and do it better than most of them, but I won't do it. I have other things to do. Ghost things.
  7. I tried to signal very clearly that deliberately losing is a bad plan with the flattened chances of winning. For me, these opportunities could not be more obvious for tanking. With the chances that this apartment should really try to win a little. It will not make much difference for their chances, and everyone, especially our media partners and their alleged fans, will appreciate the efforts.
  8. But what do all these intelligent pants do Mathele team GMS? You want to make sure you are the top 5. Even if the chances are terrible, they still want to play these shitty opportunities. Some people are just too smart to be told. You have to learn on the hard tour.
  9. But without just going to the wheel, what to do? Basically, they punish teams that could have been better but are not better. Utah, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Washington are currently outstanding. They all could have played better and could have won more, but everyone tried to work all the way down. So they made up all the injuries, they played three quarters (Brooklyn) well and then coughed the victory. They played the strangest damned constellations of all time (Utah) and they all sat healthy men with false injuries. All be worse. Lose intentionally. Well, did you enjoy this lottery?
  10. Will these GMS learn? We will see. In theory, I can do this forever. Can you keep your job forever, even in Utah?
  11. I also tried to show that the league sees it when you try, see it, respects it. The Rockets ended last season .500. They stated to end their reconstruction and they did it. I appreciate this open discourse. So despite the chances they somehow got the #3 selection. A nice little reward. Maybe it wasn't a great design class, but even I can't control that. Did you see Danny Aing? Or did you say again in the mirror that you are the smartest guy in the room? (I can see you if you think you are Danny alone, don't deny it.)
  12. I have things to do, ghost things, so let's get this big problem that we all marked. Marked, understood? So. Let's see. What did Nico Harrison do instead of auctioning one of the most valuable players in the league, Luka Doncic? According to reports, he only had a secret dialogue with Rob Pelinka and Robs sensitive leather jacket (we will talk about it later, it worries me). He exchanged Luka to the Lakers, a 26 -year -old, consistent NBA player, to the Lakers, to have paid much less than Minnesota for Rudy Gobert. Does that make sense? To be honest, not. It stinks. Unless? Unless they knew that there was a reward for helping the NBA to stay great, and I mean that the Lakers stay great.
  13. So Dallas gets 1: 1 with a player who should continue the line of Dallas from Melanin-Challen-Heroes. It could be the pale outsider. Coopers from Maine, where the sun can only legally shine legally 75 days a year. Dallas tried to win. They tried to make the playoffs. You want to be good. They also exchanged the young player who for the previous final against the Lakers to play with LeBron James.
  14. If this type of NBA public about the endless shit shows in Utah, Brookly, Washington, Charlotte and Toronto is 1-1, what is then? In addition, how many pearls do we have to throw in Charlotte in front of the pig? In DC? You would just screw it up.

In the meantime, I think that many of these “extremely unlikely” results are more sensible for them. I hope you now understand where I come from (from beyond the grave! The big hereafter! Ha ha!). To be honest, it is not so much to me if you don't understand it or don't like it because I know that I am right anyway. Many of them have no benevolent supernatural to lead them, protect them and help them. This is a shame. However, the NBA does it and I am, David Stern, the commissioner forever.
