Trisha Paytas pays homage to Wong Foo in 'Gay' Musikvideo

Influencer and Youtuber Trisha Paytas have published a music video for their title entitled “Gay”, which shows Rupaul's drag race Icons.

The catchy tune of a track contains catchy texts such as “We are all a little gay” and “You want to eat like a buffet? Then you have to make it gay”. But it is the accompanying music video of Paytas in which the LGBTQ+ community gagged.

Inspired by iconic queer 1995 film TO Wong Foo, thanks for everything! Julie Newmar, the star, entered the help of Kori King and second placements of the jewels of season 17. The trio as the main characters NOxeema Jackson, Vida and Chi-Chi, originally portrayed by Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze or John Leguizamo.

Also in the music video “Gay” are the Drag Performer Divos, Joella, Acacia forgot, Bohenne Arraux and Imara del Chique next to the dancers Jonah Almanzar, Aleksander Palinski, Benjamin Bigler and Joseph Brown.

“That's all we needed,” wrote a fan in the comments. “So much queer joy,” repeated another.

“It's too iconic,” wrote a third, while a fourth wrote: “Oh, that's so iconic, I love it so much.”

Paytas went on Instagram to advertise her new music video and honored her LGBTQ+ fans. “For the Queere Community, make this world a brighter place. I love you so much,” she wrote.

“I didn't know where I was going when I moved to La when I was 18, did not know what 'category' I was. Now with 37, without needing a label, but the feeling of feeling and understood was brought into my peace state with my sexuality and identity.”

Paytas, who had previously stood out because of her upcoming video, added that all income from the music video was donated to Translifeline, a US charity for which she had previously collected. “These organizations with peer support and legal support now need our help more than ever. 10,000 US dollars have already been donated,” she said.

“We also donated to the ACLU Drag Defense Fund to continue to fight for the maintenance of our first ammendment for all LGBTQ+ athletes. Donations also to the Trevor project that offer hotline for those who need help around the clock.

Trisha Paytas' “Gay” music video is now out.
